Iveta Behúňová currently works at Národná banka Slovenska in the Payment Systems Department, Payment Systems Policy Section, where she focuses primarily on payment and payment instrument strategy and policy. Her responsibilities include preparing analyses and positions on documents developed by the European Central Bank and other European institutions in the area of payments.

She also represents Národná banka Slovenska in the European Central Bank's Payment Policy Working Group.

Iveta works closely with representatives of the Slovak financial market through the National Stakeholder Group for Payment Services and Systems in Slovakia (NSG Pay-SK), where she serves as Secretary. The group brings together representatives of the central bank, commercial banks, the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and the State Treasury.

Before joining Národná banka Slovenska, she spent more than 15 years working in the development of the card payments business in Slovakia. She held various positions at commercial banks and also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Slovak Banking Card Association.
