Jiří Ambrož

Jiří Ambrož has been working at the Czech National Bank since 2016 in the area of payment services regulation. Since 2021, he has served as Head of the Payment Services Regulation and Oversight Unit. He is a member of working structures of the European Banking Authority (EBA), where he is involved, among other things, in the preparation of implementing legislation related to European payment services regulation.

He also participates in committees and working groups of the European Central Bank focused on the strategic development of payments and financial market infrastructure. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, and his professional experience includes roles in public administration as well as legal advisory services.
