Matúš Bilka is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, where he works on financial market regulation and represents Slovakia as a national expert in the Council of the EU working parties. His portfolio includes key European legislative files in the payments area, including the Instant Payments Regulation, PSD3/PSR, the Digital Euro Regulation and the Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directive.

His work brings together economic analysis, regulatory policy and EU-level negotiations. He has a long-standing focus on regulated markets, economic diplomacy and data-driven policymaking. He has also held academic and research roles at Comenius University in Bratislava and the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
